This aromatic and delicious fortified white port is a white grape blend from the Douro Valley. Fermented off the skins and aged for three years. Light straw in colour with aromas of honey and white fruits. Jammy pear with apple notes fill the mouth with great balance between acidity and sweetness. Full bodied, it is a great aperitf as well as an accompaniment to strong cheeses, i.e. Gorgonzola. It makes an ideal thirst quenching long drink (Chip - Chip) by adding two thirds tonic water, ice and lemon, Serve this in the Portuguese style with a bowl of salted almonds/walnuts and dried apricots/figs. Serve chilled.
