Rioja Reserva El Regalo 2004, Vina Izadi - £19.99

 Delicate vinification and ageing produced a wine with great complexity and a very elegant style. A blend of Tempranillo tempered by a small amount of old vine Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha, and aged in French and American barrels for 20 months, this is a complex wine of great personality. Intense ruby red in colour, with hints of red berries and smoky aromas on the nose. On the palate, the wine has multiple layers of flavour, fine tannins, and a long elegant finish. It is already drinking beautifully, but has everything that is necessary to age well.
